California-Nevada Section of AWWA

Good programs for: water treatment and distribution operators; engineers; scientific students; GIS; water conservation; public outreach. The local section for AWWA, the international association. They offer a broad scope of services for students.

California Water Environment Association (CWEA)

According to CWEA: "Our community of 10,000+ professionals represent all facets of wastewater management and resource recovery. Student membership is an entry point for students to learn about wastewater careers, meet professionals who can mentor them through their career journey, and learn about the exciting future of wastewater and resource recovery."
